Big R bridge receives Engineering Excellence Award

Big R Manufacturing, LLC fabricated this award winning bridge for the City of Fort Collins, CO. The pedestrian bridge, consisting of ten separate structures totaling a length of 683', extends a bike trail at Overland Trail Road and the Cache La Poudre River. Ayers Associates of Fort Collins, CO designed the bridge and entered this project into the American Council of Engineering Companies 2005 Excellence Awards competition. They were selected as the winner of the Structural Systems category.
Duckels Construction, Inc. of Steamboat Springs, CO was the general contractor.
