Big R Solution receives Engineering Award

Big R Mfg, LLC fabricated this award winning Peacock creek "Vortex Weir" design fish passage structure in Del Norte County, California.
The vortex weir design consists of a series of V-shaped pools set up like stairs, and allows salmon & trout to travel upstream to spawn.
Winsler & Kelly consulting engineers of Eureka received the award from the Consulting Engineers and Land Surveyors of California, for their design. The winning design incorporated a 20ft span x 10ft rise, Bolt-a-Plate structural plate arch.
