Fish Passage Bridging Solutions

Big R specializes in culvert solutions to provide for the safe passage of fish. Our box culverts and arches conform to regulations for road crossings over streams, leaving stream beds in a natural state for fish passage.

Structures can be assembled on site or pre-assembled in sections and placed on footings of poured-in-place concrete, precast concrete, or steel.

For limited headroom situations, we offer Super·Cor® box culverts. For projects where headroom is not a factor, our Super·Cor® arches are the most economical choice.

Fish passage solution for Clarks Creek, Del Norte County

The painted portable bridge on the right replaced the two-barrel timber box culvert in the Redwoods Region of California. Fish passage has been restored by returning the stream to its natural state.
