Our Truss Styles
Bowstring
With it's distinctive style, the Bowstring truss can create an architectural statement on any project. Although it is the most efficient structural design, the Bowstring truss is more expensive to fabricate than a Parallel Chord H-Truss.
Full Through (Box Truss)
For crossings over railroads or highways, the Box Truss is ideal as fencing and other materials can be incorporated on three sides for protection below. This underhung system is cost effective for spans between 100 feet and 250 feet.
Half-Through (H-Section)
This cost effective design is available in spans between 80 feet and 240 feet and is commonly used when clearance below the deck is not an issue. A Half-Through H-Section is shipped in multiple sections for field bolting.
Modified Bowstring
For spans between 80 feet and 200 feet, the Modified Bowstring can add style to a functional truss bridge. Although more expensive than a Half-Through H- Section, you can obtain the look of a Bowstring without the added cost.
Silverthorne Cart Bridge
Available in spans up to 85 feet, the Silverthorne Style is well suited for golf cart applications. This low profile bridge features a Douglas Fir timber running surface and bumper curb. Structures 60 feet long by 12 feet wide (between curbs) ship in one section.
Half-Through (Underhung)
Available in spans up to 80 feet, the Underhung Truss is ideal for locations where clearance below is at a preminum. The distance from top of deck to bottom of bridge is reduced by welding the floor beams to the underside of the bottom chord.
